The Village of Arroyo Grande is like stepping back into the past.  The main street has old style western buildings that house delicious restaurants, unique boutiques, bakery, old fashioned ice cream shop, pizza parlor as well as a variety of great stores.  There is a swinging bridge that goes over our creek headed to the more residential area right past the Rotary Grand Stand where you can enjoy delightful open air concerts.

We have two big festivals every year.  The Harvest Festival in the fall and the Strawberry Festival in the Spring.   Both events are fun filled with plenty of activities, delicious foods and a great small town feel.  When walking through the village, watch out…you may happen upon one of our local roosters.  They mean no harm but really add to the western feel of the town with added color at your feet.

Arroyo Grande folks love their town.  We have a great sense of family and are very proud of our Arroyo Grande High School with its spectacular award winning sports program.  The whole town comes together to support our kids at all their sporting events and fundraisers.  Our boosters are the best and really know how to throw a party to raise money for the athletes.

We are just minutes to the beach; some areas tend to be a little warmer than others.  If you prefer cooler climes in Arroyo Grande, stay closer to the west side of town.  If hot weather is your forte then the east side is where to look. Arroyo Grande is an excellent choice for all age groups, millennial’s, couples, families and retirees. There is a niche for all.

To live, to hike, to stay or just to visit … Arroyo Grande is the old-time Village of the Central Coast.
